THE ARTS FACET

The goal of The Arts Facet is to promote arts education, to increase artistic expression in the cultural community, and to enhance our programs by integrating the arts throughout our service projects.

CLASSICS THROUGH THE AGES

The Arts Facet of the Montgomery (AL) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated promotes the national signature program, Classics Through The Ages, which focuses on increasing the interest, the knowledge, and the participation of African-American youth in the classical arts. The Classics Through The Ages Initiative provides emerging student artists with the opportunity to develop their skills and talents in order to earn recognition and support for their educational and career pathways. These students participate with master artists in structured activities as they hone their skills.

STEAM ACADEMY

Art awareness and art education are infused into the STEAM Academy. Thinking beyond the borders of traditional subject matter, transformational programming involving “the arts” is used in the STEAM Academy to promote critical thinking, problem solving, and creative thinking in order to drive innovation.
